The Paris Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ranked DNV GL as the best-performing recognised organisation in 2015 in terms of its port-state-control (PSC) performance for the second year running. And KR was ranked shipping's fifth best performing recognised organisation(RO) last year. The Paris MOU hinted that the performance of recognised organisations in shipping is improving.

According to the annual report of Paris MOU 2015, “Compared to last year’s performance level, a small shift in RO performance in 2015 can be noticed,” the Paris MOU said. “This year, even fewer organisations have been placed in the very low and low-performing parts of the lists and more ROs have been placed in the medium part.”
